If you’ve been suffering through seasonal depression and super early sunsets… don’t worry. Good news is on the way! As we approach spring, each day, the sun sets later and later, and next week, the sun will set the latest of the year thus far: 6pm. That’s right, 6pm sunsets are back, Atlanta! Keep scrolling to learn more.
When is the first 6pm sunset of the year in Atlanta?

Thursday, January 22nd, exactly one week from today, the sun will set at 6:00:03 pm, according to Sunrise Sunset.
We won’t hit 7pm sunsets until March 8th, after springing forward (the +1 hour time change), which will make the sun set at 7:41:01 pm. (The day before the sun will set at 6:40pm.)
As the days get longer, we’ll also start seeing more spring-like weather, of course. If you hate the cold, hang in there, Atlanta! Warm weather and longer days are just around the corner!
