There’s something Atlanta’s gothic literature lovers and cocktail enthusiasts need to know before this one slips away: The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is returning to the area once again, this time taking place just steps from the hauntingly beautiful grounds of Oakland Cemetery.
Opening for three days only, this 90-minute journey takes you through four of Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous tales. Secure your tickets before this one vanishes into the darkness for good.

What to expect at the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy
Often inspired by love, loss, and regret, Poe’s legendary stories explore the darkest corners of the human psyche — and this time, they’re being told inside one of the very settings that inspired them.
From September 17-19, four iconic tales will come to life through captivating theater performances at the entrance of the Oakland Cemetery. The chilling lineup features retellings of The Tell-Tale Heart, The Black Cat, The Raven, and The Masque of the Red Death, each paired with a cocktail (or mocktail) crafted to match its haunting themes.

Guests must be 21 or older to attend the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, and tickets start at $55. Attendees can enter the cemetery at 374 Martin Luther King. Jr Dr SE.
It is not necessary to have visited a previous Poe Speakeasy to enjoy this one. However, once the final night passes, this extraordinary chapter is one you can’t revisit.
