Atlanta Track Club is gearing up for a brand new experience in the ATL this March, and we can’t wait. With very little information out there yet, keep scrolling to see what we know about the Atlanta Marathon, coming in March of next year.
When is the Atlanta Marathon?
The Atlanta Marathon will be held in Atlanta on March 6 – 7, 2027.
What’s new about the Atlanta Marathon?
It seems like… everything is going to be new! The Atlanta Track Club has released nothing but a few short sentences: “New Date. New Course. New Feel. More information coming soon!”
So far, we don’t know the new route map, any details on the elevation figure or any kind of mile list. But as soon as Atlanta Track Team lets us know, we’ll let you know!
RunDida warns, “Treat any specific 2027 street or landmark you read elsewhere as carried over from the retired course.” Because at this point, no new information is available.
What can runners expect at the Atlanta Marathon?
When it comes to the things we do know, like general location (downtown ATL) and dates (March 6th and 7th), we can say that this is the latest edition of the race in 7 years. That means that runners might be able to expect a little more spring weather, rather than the dregs of February.
Of course, we’d still recommend checking the weather as it gets a little closer… and dressing appropriately.
We also know that the setup for the weekend: the 5K and youth events are set to take place on Saturday, while the full and half marathon is held on Sunday (March 7th).
