The iconic Alice in Wonderland exhibit at the Atlanta Botanical Garden is back again, and we’re so excited! The exhibit will officially open to the public on May 11th, 2024!
Alice in Wonderland Returns
When the Atlanta Botanical Garden first featured Alice in Wonderland at the gardens in 2019, as a part of ‘Imaginary Worlds: Alice’s Wonderland’, they had no idea that the exhibit would be an instant classic. The Garden’s president and CEO, Mary Pat Matheson, said in a recent press release, “Ever since we featured Alice a few years ago, there’s rarely a week that goes by that a guest doesn’t ask when we’re bringing her back to the Garden. She is just that incredibly popular!”
This year, guests to the garden can expect the beloved Alice sculptures, made from gorgeous flowers and botanicals, as well as some new additions to the exhibit! Of course Alice will be there, twirling in Howell Fountain, and the White Rabbit will hold court in the Skyline Garden pond, and you’ll find the iconic colorful chess set in the Skyline Garden’s Event Lawn! As your journey through wonderland continues, you’ll find an enormous statuesque Queen of Hearts on one edge of the Great Lawn, three giant Storybooks near the Visitor Center, and from its perch in Alston Overlook, guests will catch a glimpse of the mischievous Cheshire Cat. Alice in Wonderland Returns is fun for the whole family!
And new this season is a Flower Walk of Singing Flowers, which will bloom to recorded music as guests pass by!
Cocktails in Wonderland
If you’re looking for a little more of a festive experience, join the garden for Cocktails in Wonderland! From 5 – 9pm on Thursdays, the garden wonderland becomes a party! Guests can expect specialty cocktails, scavenger hunts, live music, discovery stations, and yard games during this time!
Enjoy the beauty of the Botanical Garden with a cocktail in hand!
