There’s exciting news for Atlanta’s comedy scene! A brand new, all-Black comedy troupe is hitting the stage at Dad’s Garage on March 27th! With a hilarious company of comedians, comedy fans in the ATL are sure to love Black Ground!
About Black Ground
Black Ground is a new comedy troupe, featuring an all-Black cast! Their shows are a hilarious take on classic films like Star Wars or Indiana Jones, and what the largely ignored Black characters were doing during the film. The cast improvises the whole show, meaning they make it up on the spot, which creates a completely new experience every time you see it!
Their first show will be Wednesday, March 27th at 8pm, and you definitely can’t miss it. The first show will feature a very special guest: ‘Headkrack,’ the former co-host of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show and current host of Dish Nation.
The show will bring absolutely hilarious improv comedy together with special guests from an array of backgrounds (from stand-up comics you’ll recognize to opera singers)!
Black Ground is a celebration of Blackness, Black joy, and comedy that everyone will love.

Soon after their first show, Dad’s Garage plans to introduce the ‘Black Ground’ education program.
