Take a peek into the past at Atlanta’s oldest continually-licensed tavern… right here in the city! Atkins Park might have opened as a neighborhood deli in the 1920s, but now, it’s a true ATL staple. Keep scrolling to learn more!
About Atkins Park
Atkins Park opened its doors in the early 1920s as a neighborhood deli, but has since blossomed into a multi-location smart-casual restaurant that offers delicious, upscale comfort cuisine.
The original Atkins Park Delicatessen opened in 1922 in Virginia-Highland. Then, in 1983, the Atkins Park Tavern Restaurant Group was conceived by Warren Bruno, and is now owned and operated by his wife, Sandra Spoon, friend Kevin Drawe and the management staff of the individual restaurants.
What’s on the menu now?
Straying a bit from its original deli menu, Atkins Park in Virginia-Highlands now has a menu full of delicious comfort food. You can expect:
- delicious chicken tenders
- deviled eggs
- meatball sliders
- house-made fried onion rings
- The Park burger
- applewood bacon grilled cheese
- The Bruno Burger
… and so much more! And their prices are affordable, especially for such a delicious and filling meal. If you’re going for the first time, we’ve gotta recommend either their pan sautéed Georgia trout or southern classic chicken and dumpling soup!
Oh, and don’t forget to add a delicious drink to your meal… they are the oldest continually-licensed TAVERN after all, y’all!
