Atlanta’s favorite holiday season is almost here, and we can’t wait! With tons of fun things to do for spooky season, we’ve got something new to add to your list! The Atlanta Botanical Garden is hosting a super fun Pumpkin Carving Festival, and you don’t wanna miss out. Keep scrolling for all the details.
What is the Pumpkin Carving Festival? What can attendees expect?
The Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts their Pumpkin Carving Festival every year to showcase the amazing amateur pumpkin carvers in the city!
This fun festival is about more than just pumpkin carving, though! Here are some of the fun highlights you can get excited for as a guest:
- celebrating the winners of Scarecrows in the Garden
- strolling among THOUSANDS of pumpkins
- live music on three stages throughout the Garden
- a classic movie and pumpkin crafts on the Rose Garden lawn
- a hay-lined dance floor under the string lights
- yummy food and seasonal cocktails
And of course, so much more pumpkin magic!
You can still apply to carve pumpkins, too!
Wanna try your hand at the pumpkin carving competition? You can sign up until October 1st!
You can either sign up individually or as a team of two for the pumpkin carving contest! Then you’ll be given three hours to design and carve pumpkins at individual stations in front of event guests!
All selected competitors receive one (1) Garden Golden Ticket, which grants access to a year of exciting special events at the Garden, and two (2) guest tickets to the Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival! The contest winner – voted by Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival attendees – will receive additional prizes!
