The Atlanta Dream are putting the respect on women’s sports that they deserve! And they’re doing it in a big, undeniable way! The team unveiled a brand-new court design ahead of the home opener at State Farm Arena on Thursday, May 22nd.
What does the new court look like?
It’s a monochrome black court with the words “”Pay some respect to women’s sports” written across half court in bold white letters. Sounds amazing, right? It’s better if you see it!
The Atlanta Dream announced their phenomenal new court with an instagram post captioned:
Pay some respect to women’s sports.
New season.
New era.
New court.
It’s more than just a statement, it’s a movement.
And it’s a BIG movement, y’all! The team also said, according to a report from Bleacher Report, that “the court will be donated to a local youth organization after [Thursday’s] game.”
When is the home opener for the Atlanta Dream?
This Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, beginning at 7:30pm. The Atlanta Dream will play Indiana Fever at home.

Of course, this is more big news about Atlanta’s own women’s basketball team, coming on the heels of the massive news of Brittney Griner joining the team this season. AND their 2025 brand campaign: Our City. Our Dream.
This new slogan, “Our City. Our Dream.” will anchor the Dream’s season both on and off the court, with themes and visuals aiming to empower and uplift women and girls and serve as a catalyst to further unite the city of Atlanta.
Morgan Shaw Parker, President and COO of the Dream says,
This campaign is a declaration of who we are and what we stand for… Over the last four years under new ownership, the Dream have not just accepted stereotypical narratives around women’s sports – we’ve re-written them. Both on and off the court. Atlanta is the heart of culture, progress, and possibility, and our goal is to give a voice to the women and girls who are continuing to push boundaries. Our athletes, our employees and our brand continue to serve as an example for what we can achieve together – because if you can dream it, you can be it.
We see the vision. We see the DREAM, Atlanta! And we’re putting respect on women’s sports!
