The Atlanta Opera is one of the finest regional opera companies in the states, and luckily for the ATL, the opera connoisseurs are bringing some brand new productions to an iconic Atlantan landmark. Pullman Yards will be transformed into a stunning opera house, ushering two brand new shows to their distinctive stage, both curated by The Atlanta Opera.
Whether you’re a seasoned opera-goer, or have never tried it out before, the Atlanta Opera have managed to create an unmissable line-up of spectacles. Especially if you’re keen on experiencing the Pullman Art Center’s historic transfer table, one of the most unique stages in the country.
The shows will be taking over Pullman Yards throughout the entirety of June, including The Atlanta Opera’s interpretation of the iconic piece, Cabaret. Set in 1930s Berlin, cabaret star Sally Bowles headlines at the seedy Kit Kat Klub, where an entourage of colorful characters entertains and seduces guests looking for refuge, solace, and acceptance against the ominous threat of fascism.
You can even experience this star-studded show featuring renowned opera artist Jay Hunter Morris, internationally-acclaimed tenor and raconteur, known for his Metropolitan Opera performances across the country.
The Atlanta Opera will also be bringing As One to the historic Pullman Yards. Listen to an acclaimed chamber opera by Laura Kaminsky, one of the top 35 female composers in classical music, as the opera company gives new life to one of the most produced modern operas in America.
