Getting a good meal before your flight or during a long layover can be such a saving grace. Thankfully for Atlantans, we have the best airport restaurant in the country, right here in our very own Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is one of the biggest and most impressive structures in all of Atlanta. We are very proud to be home to the (literally) busiest airport in the world, and that’s a fact, not a buzz word! People come in and out of Hartsfield-Jackson all the time, keeping it alive at almost all hours of the day.
Of course, Atlanta knows exactly how to make incredible food, and our airport is absolutely no different. You can find so many Atlanta favorites there (and of course, we’ve got a Chick-Fil-A for weary travelers to come home to).
This year, The Family Vacation Guide named One Flew South in the Atlanta Airport the best airport restaurant in the country, with a rating of 4.5 stars.
One Flew South (which we can’t help but notice is an adorable name for an airport restaurant) is an elegant, upscale restaurant in concourse E. One Flew South guests can enjoy deliciously prepared southern food and sip on a delectable glass of wine while they wait for their flight.
The menu of One Flew South has all that guests could want, including fresh sushi, Southern-inspired fare and an impeccable wine and spirits list. This location serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you can eat there at any time of the day that your flight requires. If you’re stopping by for dinner, we recommend their NY Strip Steak, and if you need a cocktail before boarding, nothing beats their red eye martini. One Flew South’s airport location has also been nominated twice for the James Beard Award.
If you’re flying, you’ll want to fly south before you even take off the runway!
