Why does Atlanta rank as #1?
Atlanta is the best city for singles for several reasons. Some include, the extremely high number of attractions, restaurants and nightlife activities, which gives people the perfect spots to meet up for dates!
WalletHub also notes,
In addition, living in Atlanta gives you a deeper dating pool to swim in compared to other cities. Around 70% of the city’s population is single (never married, widowed or divorced), the ninth-highest percentage in the country.
And it doesn’t hurt that Atlanta’s median annual household income exceeds $85,000, so singles are generally financially stable.

How did WalletHub come up with this data?
To come up with the list of the best cities for singles, WalletHub compared a whopping 1822 cities in the United States, including the 150 most-populated. They broke down the metrics into three main categories: economics, fun & recreation, and dating opportunities.
From there, they used 35 relevant metrics, each weighted by importance, including everything from movie ticket costs to social clubs per capita and beyond.
A score of 100 represents the perfect, most ideal city for singles. Atlanta, which ranked #1, scored a total of 64.15/100.
