WalletHub recently released a new study showing that Atlanta is one of the best places to go for Thanksgiving, and we couldn’t agree more! From delicious places to get a Thanksgiving spread to amazing decor, travel options and more… we know Atlanta is a wonderful place to spend your Thanksgiving!
How did WalletHub come up with this ranking?
According to WalletHub,
In order to determine the best places to go for Thanksgiving, WalletHub compared 100 of the most populated U.S. cities across five key dimensions: 1) Thanksgiving Celebrations & Traditions, 2) Affordability, 3) Safety & Accessibility, 4) Giving Thanks and 5) Thanksgiving Weather Forecast.
Why is Atlanta the 2nd best Thanksgiving spot in the country?
WalletHub says,
Atlanta ranks as the second-best place for Thanksgiving, with an especially large number of holiday decoration stores and highly-rated restaurants per capita. Atlanta residents also show a lot of interest in celebrating the holiday, based on their Google searches.
Atlanta is also known for its amazing airport! Thanksgiving travelers can rely on arriving on time to their Thanksgiving destinations when flying into and out of Atlanta! In fact, last year, Atlanta had the third-lowest percentage of delayed flights in the entire country for the month of November!
WalletHub also adds, “Atlanta ranks among the top cities for the number of charities per capita, and its residents give around 5.5% of their income to charity, on average, the 17th-highest percentage in the U.S.”
