What is the Blue Ridge Railway?
The Blue Ridge Railway is a great way to experience Blue Ridge, whether you’ve been before or this is your first time. Rides begin at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, setting off on a 26-mile roundtrip adventure along the Toccoa River, to the towns of of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee.
There are lots of ways to enjoy the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, including:
- train rides
- the private Caboose ride
- locomotive cab rides (with the conductor!)
- a scenic rail bike.
What ride options does the Blue Ridge Railway offer?
Blue Ridge Railway train rides offer beautiful rides all year long, with specific dates for spring rides, summer rides, fall rides, winter rides, holiday special rides, and even a fireworks special ride for the 4th of July.
On their spring rides, the Blue Ridge Railway offers either a 2 hour tour (with no layovers in the quaint sister towns of McCaysville or Copperhill) or a longer, 4 hour ride with layovers.
