Enjoy tea or coffee among Brooklyn legends at this artsy tearoom in Atlanta!
Atlanta (and the South in general) is renowned globally for its sweet and iced tea, and now another spot has opened in Castleberry Hill that’s taking tea to the next level. Brooklyn Tea has been serving up tea to Brooklynites for quite some time, and now its Atlanta’s turn to experience this unique Brooklyn treasure, as the tearoom opens up its first location outside of NYC in the ATL.
There’s an unbeatable selection of loose leaf teas, available piping hot or ice cold. As well as coffee and Brooklyn-themed bites including their iconic Notorious B.I.G. cookies!
There’s an entire menu of vegan deliciousness on offer, featuring the perfect accompaniments to your pot of tea. From Vegan Waffles to plant-based English Muffin Sandwiches, there’s a sweet treat or all-day-breakfast item for every palate at Brooklyn Tea.
As well as the Biggie cookies, the historic hip-hop star along with Jay-Z and other NYC legends have been honored throughout the tearoom, with artworks by Adeana Berry and India Linsey complimenting the modern décor. However, it’s not all rap and trap focused, one of Linsey’s pieces is a contemporary portrait of Shirley Chisholm, the first black woman elected to the United States Congress.
Owners Ali and Jamila Wright opened their second-ever location in Castleberry Hill on February 26. You can find Brooklyn Tea at 329 Nelson Street SW. It’s open Monday through Sunday from 8AM until 6PM, with their all-day-breakfast menu served one hour after opening, and concluding one hour before closing.
