Contrary to popular belief, the way to your other half’s heart isn’t through their stomach, but through their ears. No romantic rendezvous is complete without the dreamy sounds of classic love songs to stoke the fires of romance. So as Valentine’s Day fast approaches, swap out the conventional candlelit dinner for an intimate Candlelight concert featuring cupid-approved anthems performed on strings. After all, music is the true language of love.
While some singers profess to finding love in hopeless places, that’s not the case when it comes to Candlelight. The Chapel on Sycamore and Magnolia Hall are some of the magnificent settings where love birds will be snuggling up and experiencing the magic of Candlelight together. And thanks to performances of music by the likes of Astor Piazzolla and Ennio Morricone and a sea of flickering candles, Cupid may as well leave his bow and arrow at home.
Candlelight: Valentine’s Day Special ft. “Romeo and Juliet” & More
In The Chapel on Sycamore (9 February) and Magnolia Hall (14 February) where we lay our scene, thousands of candles light up the stage for a magical tribute to our favorite lovey-dovey songs. Listeso String Quartet will be pulling the heartstrings of star-crossed lovers as they perform themes from Romeo & Juliet as well as timeless classics like “My Heart Will Go On” and “Moon River”. With every note played, moving melodies will twist and twirl through these serene candlelit settings, melting the hearts of even the biggest Valentine skeptics.
Each year, Valentine’s season comes and goes, but true love always remains, and so do the memories we make along the way. This February, while weary romantics trail to their local restaurant for their annual dinner date, why not switch things up and make memories that last a lifetime at a magical Candlelight concert.
There’ll be two concerts on each night, with the earlier show starting at 7pm and the later one at 9pm. Each concert takes place over the course of 60 minutes and doors open 45 minutes prior to the concert start time.
