One of Atlanta’s favorite fast food spots just announced the opening of another location in the city: and it’s a great location! Poncey-Highland is welcoming the new franchise tomorrow, January 9th, and we couldn’t be more excited!
How many Chick-fil-As are there in Atlanta?
Chick-fil-A got its start in Atlanta (you can visit the original Chick-fil-A in Hapeville, near the airport) in 1946, and has since become a staple of the fast food scene in the American south. Now, there seems to be a Chick-fil-A on every corner, offering exceptional service and delicious fast food meals to everyone.
According to Chick-Fil-A’s website,
The Ponce de Leon restaurant joins more than 186 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Atlanta market.
What is this new Chick-fil-A’s impact on Atlanta?
This Chick-fil-A location will bring around 80 full and part-time jobs to the community, and will honor 100 local heroes with free entrées for an entire year!
They also say, in a press release,
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Atlanta Community Food Bank, a Feeing America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
And the best part of this new spot? It’s not too far from the BeltLine! So take your milkshake or nuggets for a little walk on the ATL’s favorite walking, biking and skating trail!
