Temperatures this week might feel like the low 90s, but it ~is~ technically fall. When will it feel like fall, then? Well, we’ve got some good news and some bad news. Keep scrolling for all the weather forecasts.
When will it cool off in Atlanta?

According to a report by FOX 5 Atlanta meteorologist Joanne Feldman,
The average high for late September has dropped to 82, and temperatures will trend closer to that by the second half of the week. A stronger cold front is expected to bring the best chance of widespread rain on Thursday, helping drought-stricken areas west and north of Atlanta.
In other words, most of this week will stay pretty hot, but don’t worry. Cooler weather and relief is on the way by the end of the week! And, according to meteorologists, parts of northwest Georgia could also see 1 to 2 inches of rain over the next several days.
This fall will be unseasonably warm, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

The Almanac says,
September and October will be warmer than normal, with below-average rainfall. September: Avg. temp 78° (3° above normal); 4” rain (1” below normal). Expect mostly warm, stormy conditions with a cooler finish. October: Avg. temp 64° (1° below normal); 1.5” rain (1.5” below normal). Sunny and warm early, with light showers mid-month and a cooler end.
So we can expect cooler temperatures later this week, but overall… buckle up, Atlanta. Because it’s gonna be warm for quite a bit longer. So whether you’d like to enjoy the warm weather or go inside and pretend it’s cooler outside (with your pumpkin spice latte in hand).
If we had a groundhog to tell us if there was gonna be six more weeks of summer… let’s just say, he wouldn’t have seen his shadow!
