If you’re looking for an awesome way to honor Hispanic Heritage Month, then we’ve found the perfect art exhibit and events program for you. There’s an exciting art exhibition on display at the Decatur Visitor Center, Pacita Latina is currently showcasing incredible Latinx artists in this unmissable collection of art, paintings, and more!
On display until October, the exhibit boasts a plethora of local artists including Sofahood, Emmanuel Rivas, Jon Sanchíz, and more! Expect a unique mix of pieces and craft, from photography to painting, guaranteed to delve into different Hispanic backgrounds, experiences, and culture.
However, it doesn’t stop there. You’ll be able to celebrate this exhibition at it’s epic closing ceremony. Taking over the outside space, with opportunities to go inside the gallery to view the artwork, hear artists share inspirational stories at this ultimate celebration of Latinx culture. There will even be Latin refreshments and snacks and entertainment on offer.
You’ll also be able to honor Day of the Dead on October 30. Haints and Saints have joined forces with Pacita Latina to reprise the popular Halloween-themed parade. The parade will start at 6 pm from the creepily fitting Decatur Cemetery, 229 Bell St, ending at the Decatur Square. For more information and to RSVP, make sure to visit their website.
The Pacita Latina art exhibition will be on display until the 14th of October 2022, so don’t miss out y’all! There’s also so much going on to honor Latinx Heritage Month in Atlanta, which also concludes on October 14. One of the easiest (and yummiest) is by supporting all the local Histpanic-owned businesses and restaurants across the city this month, and beyond.
