What is Delta Comfort Basic?

According to a report by WSB-TV, Delta just launched this new travel option which begins on Wednesday, November 19th: Delta Comfort Basic. Designed to offer customers more choice in their flights, Delta Comfort Basic has some great perks, including:
- More legroom on your flight
- A dedicated overhead bin space, so you don’t have to worry with carry-ons
- Zone 3 boarding
- Complimentary wine, beer, and spirits on most flights
- Eligibility for Delta Sky Club
Basically, this option provides some of the premium comforts of Delta Comfort, but with a few restrictions, thus lowering the price.
So what’s the catch, then?

Well, it’s not much of a catch, actually. Delta Comfort Basic differs from Delta Comfort because seats are assigned after check-in, and your fare will not be eligible for any upgrades.
WSB-TV also reports,
There is also a 14-day advance purchase booking window, which allows more time for operational teams to prepare and ensures customers understand the new experience before travel.
