Acworth’s Dragon Boat Festival is a fun-filled day-long festival that combines various cultural activities with food and fun for spectators and participants! Festival goers can enjoy delicious bites and sips, and of course, watch the incredible 46-foot-long ornate dragon boats as they speed through the water!

Imagine colorful 40 foot long boats with the head and tail of a dragon on each end, filled with 20 paddlers, a drummer, and steers person competing in a high energy race on the water. This athletic and cultural phenomenon originated over 2,000 years ago in Ancient China, and is presently the fastest growing sport in the world.
From ancient beginnings to modern enjoyment, there’s something for everyone to learn, enjoy and celebrate at the Acworth Dragon Boat Festival!
