How hot is it going to get today?
Today (6/23/25), the high is expected to be 93 degrees Fahrenheit, with a low of 74 (during the night). But the ‘feels-like’ temperature is even hotter: 110 degrees. (According to The Weather Channel.)
This comes along with 51% humidity, a UV index of 10 (out of 11), and a lot of sunshine.
What can I do to stay safe in these hot temperatures?
When the weather is hot like this, it can get dangerous to be outside in direct sunlight. If you’re going to be outside, wear protective clothing like hats and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. It’s also a good idea to wear sunscreen–and don’t forget to re-apply!
It’s also a good idea to bring a water bottle with you and remember to hydrate! If you can, stay out of the sun and indoors where its cooler!
Is this record heat for June in Atlanta?
Not exactly record-breaking. But it is unusual.
According to Weather Atlas,
The day’s top temperature is expected to be slightly warmer than the typical June high of 87.8°F.
The rest of the week could bring even hotter temperatures, with record-breaking heat. According to WSB-TV Atlanta, “Tomorrow [6/24/25] and Wednesday will be even hotter with near-record highs in the upper 90s.”
