The holiday season is upon us, and we all know–nothing says Christmas cheer like a delicious sweet treat! And this holiday season is super special because a Georgia baker just won Food Network’s ‘Christmas Cookie Challenge’!
Who won Christmas Cookie Challenge?
Jo Nunez, the owner and creator of Goodies & Grace won Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge!
According to her website, Nunez
is 26 years old and has been learning to bake and decorate goodies since she was 5 years old. She was taught to decorate cakes by her mother and was self taught in her other areas of expertise. Her passion and talent continued throughout her young adult life and while obtaining a Biology degree from UGA in 2015. Since graduation Jo has had an undeniable desire to bring her joy and excitement for baking to her community.
What is Food Network’s ‘Christmas Cookie Challenge’?
Christmas Cookie Challenge is a baking competition show on the Food Network in which bakers compete to make the best cookies–with some specific challenges! They’ve got to follow a theme, bake within a certain time frame, and be up for any challenges thrown their way!
For Nunez’s episode, the bakers had to create sweet treats in the theme of Christmas-inspired caped crusaders, villains and superhero vehicles!
What did Nunez win for her 1st place cookie challenge win?
Nunez won both rounds of the baking competition, taking home the $10,000 grand prize AND the Golden Ornament!
Because she won the first round of the competition as well, Nunez won an additional $1,000, bakeware, and a ~special advantage~ for the final round of the competition!
