Here in Atlanta, there are lots of ways to help out in our community! From tons of volunteer opportunities and beyond, we all know helping out others is important. And now, we’ve got a super cool way for you to help out your community, and all you’ve got to do is drop off some food!
East Atlanta’s Free Food Fridge
You can donate food to East Atlanta’s Free Food Fridge 24/7–all you have to do is bring your donation and pop it in the fridge! Anyone can donate, and anyone in need of some fresh food can grab a snack, drink or meal from the fridge.
This Free Food Fridge is part of what used to be a larger moment to bring free, fresh food to those who need it, but sadly couldn’t be sustained months ago. That’s why it’s even more important to share now, so we can keep up the good work and community support!
Where is the East Atlanta Free Food Fridge?
You can find this new fridge at the Eastside Church in East Atlanta. It will be accessible for donations and people to grab food from at all hours.
Address: 468 Moreland Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30316
What can I donate to the free fridge?
Of course, the idea of using a fridge instead of just a pantry is to donate perishable, fresh food. You can donate food items that need to be kept cold. There is also an area for non-perishable food items, though, and a spot to leave clothes and other non-food necessities (like toiletries, personal hygiene needs, etc.).
There is also a freezer space, if something you’re dropping off needs a freezer rather than a refrigerator.
