With a friendliness score of 8.39/10, Minnesota has been crowned the friendliest state in the US. Minnesotans are known for their strong sense of community, and volunteering, and the data shows that, as the state has a charitable giving rate of 57.16%, with almost six in ten giving to charity. Additionally, their kindness extends to their neighbours, with one of the highest talking with neighbours rates in the top ten (77.45%). Minnesota also had one of the highest formal volunteering rates in the data set at 40.30%.

The state has one of the worst road rage scores in the bottom ten (89.27) and one of the lowest charitable giving rates (37.38%) across all states analysed. However, New Mexico actually has one of the highest net friendliness sentiments (21), mainly due to having a 40% positive friendliness sentiment according to the Reddit data, making it the friendliest state in the bottom ten when it comes to online presence.
Where does Georgia fall on the list of friendly states?
Georgia ranks as the 37th friendliest state, in the bottom half of the country. Georgia comes in right after Illinois, with a 6.57/10 friendliness score.
