The Georgia Peanut Festival

The Annual Georgia Peanut Festival is a massive community festival that happens in at T.C. Jeffords Park near downtown Sylvester GA, on the 3rd Saturday of every October! This massive celebration draws crowds in the thousands for a full day of celebrations for Georgia’s favorite food. (No joke… our favorite food!)
But more than just peanuts, the Georgia Peanut Festival celebrates community, southern food, crafts and arts, and so much more!
What can festival-goers expect?
At the Georgia Peanut Festival, attendees can expect a ton of delicious food and fun happenings. Some events that you can’t miss include:
- one of the largest parades in the Southeast with decorated floats, marching bands, community groups, and local businesses
- craftsmen from all over the state showcasing their creations
- peanut treats & other southern delights
- a beauty pageant with up to 100 contestants (before the festival – in August)
- the Georgia Peanut Festival Pets and Pals Parade
- free Percy’s Peanut Patch (an adorable petting zoo for the kids)
