This hauntingly devastating, and yet ever-hopeful retelling of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, Hadestown, gained fame when it stunned audiences on Broadway… and now it’s coming to the ATL! You can catch the show at the Fox this year. Keep scrolling for all the details!
What is Hadestown about?

HADESTOWN intertwines two mythic Greek tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back (just so long as you don’t turn around). Celebrated singer-songwriter and Tony Award® winner Anaïs Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and original director and Tony Award® winner Rachel Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love way down in Hadestown.

This show is a stunningly fresh look at the myth, giving it all the human emotion and love it deserves. But don’t just take our word for it… the Los Angeles Times calls it:
Mesmerizing! Hadestown arrives in smoldering fashion. Unfurling like a dream, the show achieves a fluidity of musical theater storytelling that makes an old tale seem startlingly new.
Okay, I’ve gotta see this! Gimme the details.
