Where will the new Hell Yeah! Gluten Free pop-up be located?
The new pop-up will be located at The Daily World Building in Sweet Auburn. The Daily World is a sacred spot for journalism history because it was home to The Atlanta Daily World, the first successful Black daily newspaper in the United States and a cornerstone of Black journalism, entrepreneurship, and civil rights history.
Co-Owner Rachel Voorhies said in a statement,
We’re also incredibly honored to bring Hell Yeah! Gluten Free into a historic Sweet Auburn building with so much history and character behind it. We’re grateful to Invest Atlanta, Gene Kansas, Helen McGaughy and the entire team for the opportunity to be part of this exciting chapter for the neighborhood and city.
Why is Hell Yeah! getting a new pop-up?
This Hell Yeah! Gluten Free pop‑up is part of the Downtown Pop‑Up Opportunity Fund, a city-supported initiative designed to elevate local businesses, activate historic corridors, and drive long-term cultural and economic investment ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Atlanta.
Co-Owner Hunter Mowen said in a statement,
For us, this pop-up is about helping destigmatize gluten free food and showing people that gluten free can still feel exciting and indulgent. We’ve had guests travel from all over the world to visit us for safe and delicious gluten free baked goods, and this summer — as Atlanta welcomes an incredible wave of international visitors — we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them right in the heart of it.
What’s on the menu at the Hell Yeah! Gluten Free pop-up?
The pop-up will serve as both a bakery and coffee shop, offering guests a rotating selection of Hell Yeah! favorites, including:
- gluten free cinnamon rolls
- buttermilk biscuits
- breakfast sandwiches
- coffee beverages
- take-and-bake items
- specialty soccer-themed offerings
