About Brasstown Bald

Brasstown Bald is located within the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests, and has a 360° view of four states: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The Visitor Information Center is the highest point in Georgia and offers tons of fun activities for families, hikers, friends, or any visitor!
On the Bald, travelers will find:
- picnic areas with great views
- a general store with locally made products
- three trailheads just off of the parking lot
- a mountaintop natural science & history museum
- the observation deck, where you’ll be able to view four states and, when the weather is right, the Atlanta skyline (which is about 85 miles, as the crow flies)
