Some of the best light displays during the holiday season come right from your backyard… literally! This holiday season, see the absolutely incredible community creativity come to life at Lights of Joy!
Tell me, what is Lights of Joy?
Lights of Joy is the largest residential display of holiday lights in the entire state of Georgia… and it’s right here at home in Atlanta!
With over 1.3 MILLION lights, this dazzling display will brighten even the darkest night!
There are exactly 246 trees with lights on them, boasting hundreds and thousands of lights in a multitude of color and sparkle. Four of the largest trees actually have 15,000 lights on them… each!
There are also 40 musical trees that are synced to holiday music, which you can tune into on the radio. Their 700 feet of road frontage is lighted, and the display extends to the church across the street, which is where the parking is located.
The history of this gorgeous festive display goes back in 1988 and has annually grown into a truly unmissable festive tradition for Atlantans (and visitors from near and far). The creators’ objective with the lights is to spark JOY during the holiday season, hence the name Lights of Joy. And they absolutely achieve this goal every year, with flying colors!
