With so many light shows taking over iconic ATL spaces, some of the residential spaces get overlooked. But this Kennesaw gem is always a treat for the eyes, as one of the largest residential holiday lights displays in the state of Georgia, entitled Lights of Joy.
There are over 230 trees with lights in them, boasting hundreds and thousands of lights in a multitude of color and sparkle. One of the largest trees has over 20,000 lights, with an estimated 500K lights shining bright throughout the holiday season.
There are even 40 musical trees that are synced to music, which you can tune in your car at 102.1 FM. Their 700 feet of road frontage is lighted, and the display extends to the church across the street, which is where the parking is located.
The history of this gorgeous festive display goes back in 1988 and has annually grown into the unmissable festive tradition for Atlantans and Georgians alike. The creators objective with the lights is to spark Joy during the holiday season, hence the name Lights of Joy.
Park your car across the street at the Influencers Church and walk to see the lights. It is not a drive-thru display and it’s free-of-charge to access. No dogs or pets are allowed. You can find the display at 1510 Ben King Road NW, Kennesaw, 30144.
The lights will be on display from November 27 through Sunday, January 1, 2023 and are lit nightly from 6 pm until 11:00 pm. For more information, click here to visit their website.
