One of the newest additions to the Atlanta skyline is the impressive Google building, an impressive expansion of the 1105 West Peachtree (pictured above). With Google and ATL going back over twenty years, there are more than 1,000 full-time employees working for the renowned search engine and Big Tech company.
And we can now have a look inside the gorgeous office building thanks to these stunning pictures. A self-proclaimed love-letter to our city, the space boasts immersive design devoted to all things Atlanta.
The company reveal in a blog post, ” Inspired by the city’s legacy for social change, our office was designed as an homage to the people of Atlanta, with each floor an ode to Atlanta’s cultural, musical and artistic history.”
Walking into the impressive working space, you’re greeted by a giant heart installation, with that iconic Google logo given a contemporary makeover for A-Town. There’s even a rainbow staircase celebrating Midtown’s status as Atlanta’s gayborhood.
However, it’s all not just flash and show. A lot of thought and detail went into the office space. 20 local artists were asked to collaborate and create artwork. And there’s even charitable initiatives in place, with Google making it a priority to work with local companies to help make Atlanta a better place for everyone.
They have teamed up with the Mayor and the Atlanta BeltLine to launch the Atlanta BeltLine Marketplace, an project set to help local Black, Latino and women-owned small businesses reach new customers by retrofitting rail cars into retail space, on our iconic looping trail of the city.
The on-site coffeehouse and cafeteria is even an homage to the first Black-owned and programmed U.S. radio station, called The WERD Cafe.
The Big Tech company are providing Wi-Fi for the rail containers, a complete suite of Google Nest products, Chromebooks and free digital skills training.
Although you cannot access the offices unless you work at Google, you can admire the building’s grand exteriors. You can find the Google building in Midtown Atlanta at the 1105 West Peachtree building.
