Every year, the James Beard Foundation chooses to highlight incredible restaurants all over the United States. The nominations were announced today, April 3rd, 2024, for all of their categories, ranging from emerging restaurant to the best chefs in the country and more!
According to the James Beard Foundation’s website, their mission is “to celebrate, support, and elevate the people behind America’s food culture and champion a standard of good food anchored in talent, equity, and sustainability.”
Which Atlanta restaurant is nominated for a James Beard Award?
One Atlanta restaurant made the list of nominations, in the category of Best Chef in the Southeast! The Southeast region includes Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia!
Rod Lassiter and Parnass Savang of Talat Market received this nomination, and we can’t wait to see if they win the award later this year! Some have called the James Beard Awards the ‘Oscars’ of the restaurant industry, and we couldn’t agree more!
