It’s almost time to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and this year, it’s the year of the Dragon!
Stone Mountain Park is proud to host its second annual Lunar New Year Festival, which will take place during the last three weekends in February! Their Asian-inspired festival pays tribute to the culture and New Year traditions of South Korea, China, Vietnam, and other countries that follow the lunar calendar!
This amazing Lunar New Year festival, in classic Stone Mountain fashion, features a celebratory Drone and Light Show in the evenings, as well as cultural craft activities, storytelling, puppetry, and more!
What can guests expect?
The park will be completely transformed by hundreds of gorgeous Chinese lanterns, cultural decor, and a vibrant “streetmosphere” of live performances. An all-new parade will feature the Dragon and Lion dance, led by choreographed by vibrant dancers in traditional attire.
You’ll even be able to learn calligraphy, witness phenomenal martial arts demonstrations, and experience their 4D Voyage to the Moon with an adorable family of pandas. And of course, the park is famous for their legendary laser and light show! For the Year of the Dragon, Stone Mountain Park is pulling out all the stops with a new Lunar New Year Drone Show, a light show, and a classic fireworks finale!
And of course we can’t leave out the mouth-watering Asian cultural treats that’ll be available to all throughout the festival. Enjoy a delicious helping of signature Asian foods, including (our favorite) dumplings, bubble tea, and more.
