Stone Mountain Park is proud to host its third annual Lunar New Year Festival, which will take place during the last weekend in January and the first two weekends in February. Their Asian-inspired festival pays tribute to the culture and New Year traditions of South Korea, China, Vietnam, and other countries that follow the lunar calendar!
This amazing Lunar New Year festival, in classic Stone Mountain fashion, features a celebratory Drone and Light Show in the evenings, as well as cultural craft activities, storytelling, puppetry, and more!
What can guests expect?
The park will be completely transformed by hundreds of gorgeous Chinese lanterns, cultural decor, and a vibrant “streetmosphere” of live performances. An all-new parade will feature the Dragon and Lion dance, led by choreographed by vibrant dancers in traditional attire.
Guests will get to learn calligraphy, witness phenomenal martial arts demonstrations, and enjoy K-pop music and dancing.
And of course, the park is famous for their legendary laser and light show! For the Year of the Snake, Stone Mountain Park is pulling out all the stops with a new Lunar New Year Drone Show, a light show, and a classic fireworks finale!
Will there be food?
Yes, of course! We can’t leave out the mouth-watering Asian cultural treats that’ll be available to all throughout the festival. Enjoy a delicious helping of signature Asian foods, including (our favorite) dumplings, bubble tea, and more.
