If you love art markets, fun artsy events, and live music, you’ve gotta check out the truly massive arts festival coming to Marietta Square this Labor Day weekend: Marietta’s ‘Art in the Park!’ This incredible 3-day event draws quite the crowd too! As Cobb County’s only fine art festival, the festival brings in more than 55,000 visitors every year!
What can attendees expect at Art in the Park?
Attendees of the festival can expect art, art art! With live music to enjoy, over 200 fine artists selling their goods, a children’s area, an interactive ‘Chalk Spot’, and tons of drinking and dining options!
Fine Artists
Marietta’s Art in the Park Festival will feature all kinds of professional artists’ works, and you can buy them to take home! With arts ranging from acrylics and oils to jewelry, textiles, woodworking and more, Artist Market artists are on-site to talk with visitors, discuss their work and in some cases even offer demonstrations! And some artists will be doing commissions as well, so you can get a personalized piece!

Chalk Spot
STREET PAINTING WITH CHALK
Once again, Art in the Park has teamed up with the Marietta High School Visual Arts Programto host the Chalk Spot street art experience. Taking place Saturday, Aug. 30, Chalk Spot offers participants the chance to make their mark on a 3-ft. square space on a closed street. Using chalk, young artists will draw unique masterpieces, which will remain on display throughout festival weekend (weather permitting).
The fee to participate is $10, and pre-registration is not required. Participating children will receive a box of sidewalk chalk and two tickets to the North Georgia State Fair (while supplies last).

And More!
You can also expect live music (bring your blankets and chairs!), delicious food from Marietta Square’s iconic restaurants, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, a kid’s art zone, and so much more!
