So what’s the most expensive Metro ATL city?

Alpharetta ranks as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,610. The City of Atlanta comes in second, just $10 short, at $1600.
This is WAY above the Georgia state median, which was $1,264 last month!
And what’s the cheapest?
Forest Park, Georgia comes in at the cheapest, at $850 for a one-bedroom.
And honorable mentions (even though they’re not technically Metro ATL): Rome is the second cheapest at $970 for a one-bedroom, and LaGrange is the cheapest, at $850 for a one-bedroom.

Where does Atlanta rank on the list of most expensive cities in the U.S. for renting an apartment?

This ranks a little lower than you might initially think. Of course, on this list, New York City comes in at #1, with the price of a one-bedroom coming in at a whopping $4,330! (Sometimes if feels like Atlanta is the NYC of the south… but not when it comes to rent, thankfully!)
