The return of the MIDTOWN letters

ATLiens will remember that there used to be a MIDTOWN display on the sidewalk outside Colony Square. However, the letters were eventually retired as part of the final phases of Colony Square’s massive multi-million-dollar redevelopment, which redesigned the pedestrian streetscape to open up the property.
Now, the all-caps silhouette, signature horizontal divide, and vibrant color scheme from Midtown Alliance’s neighborhood brand, is returning to the neighborhood, at their newest public gathering space.
Where are the MIDTOWN letters now?
Now, the public is able to view the new letters at the new Midtown Green, which is temporarily opening the lawn to the public with free programing all fall long!
Address: 98 14th Street, across from the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta

What are the letters made of?

Arc Design, an Atlanta production design studio and custom fabrication house, created these brand new and improved MIDTOWN letters over the summer.
The structures are made of plywood, built on internal wood frame supports. Each letter stands at a whopping 8 feet tall and 2 feet deep.
So go ahead and snap a pic, Atlanta! Whether you’re a tourist documenting your trip or a native enjoying the beauty of our city, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the new MIDTOWN letters! Don’t miss out.
