WalletHub ranks Atlanta as the 4th ‘most fun’ cities in the country, just after Miami, Florida. But why, exactly? Well, here’s how they break down Atlanta’s ranking:

• 7^th – Festivals per Capita
• 9^th – Restaurants per Capita
• 17^th – Playgrounds per Capita
• 51^st – Bar Accessibility
• 48^th – Parkland Acres per Capita
• 7^th – Fitness Centers per Capita
• 10^th – Dance Clubs per Capita
• 19^th – Number of Attractions

Great question. Fun is a subjective thing, of course, but WalletHub used some objective metrics in order to measure the ‘fun-ness’ of each of the 182 cities they looked at, including:

1. Entertainment & Recreation
2. Nightlife & Parties
3. Costs (cause let’s be real… it’s not fun if it costs a full paycheck!)

From there, their researchers broke the categories down into 65 relevant metrics, and graded on a weighted, 100-point scale. For reference, Atlanta’s overall score is 57.68. The highest-scoring city, Las Vegas, scored an even 75 points.
