This fall, Decatur is getting an incredible new dog park-restaurant that will have people (and their furry friends) wagging their tails!
Off Leash is the perfect place for dog owners to bring their four-legged friends. There’s plenty of space for your dog to run freely, and there’s also food, drinks, and great community vibes fro dog owners too! Taking your dog out to the dog park shouldn’t be a chore… and with Off Leash, it definitely won’t be.
So what exactly is Off Leash?
It’s a state-of-the-art oasis for canines and dog owners alike. Off Leash will feature an indoor restaurant (for humans), a large, dog-friendly outdoor patio and an adjacent outdoor, partially covered private dog park, perfect for socializing and getting the zoomies.
Off Leash recognizes that it’s hard to leave the pups at home when you want to go out with friends, and now, you don’t have to. Enjoy a night out in the community while your dogs play the day away!
What kind of food are they serving up?
The restaurant at Off Leash will feature an indoor area for humans and a large, dog-friendly outdoor patio offering a casual, yet elevated, dining experience. The chef-inspired menu will cover everything from breakfast to dinner, and the bar serves a wide selection of cocktails and beers, including everything from local IPAs to crisp chardonnays and specialty cocktails. Humans can order an appetizer and cocktail or a juicy, flavorful burger grilled to perfection. The craft kitchen also creates light, crisp salads, dips for sharing, fresh sandwiches and so much more!
Oh, and an assortment of healthy, drool-worthy treats for the doggies will also be available.
Off Leash is set to open in the fall of 2024
Cofounder of Off Leash, Wendy Newman, says, “I have called Decatur home now for many years and have walked our dogs from our home to the Decatur square countless times while passing 240 E. Trinity. I have always thought it would be an incredible location for a dog park, bar and restaurant. It is surreal to see my vision come to life, and I can’t wait to see the park full of pups and folks enjoying great food and cocktails.”
We can’t WAIT to check it out! Off Leash is coming this fall 2024, with construction beginning in the spring.
