According to WXIA-TV Atlanta,
The week-long enforcement initiative aims to reduce crashes and save lives by targeting speeding and aggressive driving on highways. It’s the ninth year of the program, which includes extra patrols, checkpoints and public safety campaigns.
Basically, there will be more APD out on the streets, pulling speeding and reckless drivers over.
When is Operation Southern Slowdown?
“Operation Southern Slow Down” runs from July 14th to 20th and will be enforced in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
