This past week, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame officially announced their roster of inductees for 2025! Among the famous names on the list, like Bad Company, Chubby Checker, and the White Stripes, Atlanta’s own Outkast will join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2025!
We’re THRILLED that André 3000 (Andre Benjamin) and Big Boi (Antwan Patton) will join the iconic Hall of Fame this fall!
The announcement came on Sunday’s episode of “American Idol.” The moment was especially sweet because the announcement came from Atlanta-native Ryan Seacrest, as well. Keep scrolling for all the details!
Why is Outkast being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

John Sykes, the chair of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame told Rolling Stone, “Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of rock & roll forever.”
Here’s what the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame says about Outkast,
Outkast redefined hip-hop with their genre-blending sound and relentless innovation, proving the “Dirty South” could compete with rap music’s long-standing East and West Coast scenes. Outkast’s distinctive sound – a blend of funk, soul, and jazz with introspective storytelling – helped them become one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful hip-hop groups of all-time. With massive tracks like “Hey Ya!,” Outkast challenged every norm, defied every genre, and pushed every boundary.
When is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony?
The ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on November 8th, 2025.
How can I watch?

Want to watch Atlanta’s own Outkast get ~officially~ inducted in to the Hall of Fame? You can watch it happen live on Disney+, or, if you don’t have Disney+, don’t sweat it! You can watch an edited version on ABC at a later date, which has yet to be announced.
We’re so ecstatic that the Atlanta-born duo is being honored at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! It’s a great time to be an ATLien, for sure!
