Fly with the owls through the streets Midtown at night while live music plays–it’s a real HOOT!
What is the Parliament of Owls Lantern Parade?
This annual parade is a celebration of community and fun! Fly with your friends down the streets of our beloved city! This adorable, fun event is created by Chantelle Rytter + Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons and presented by Midtown Alliance.
The Black Sheep Ensemble is bringing the tunes, so you can enjoy them the whole parade!
Parade Details
When: August 3rd, 2024
All owls will flock in the Plaza of Colony Square at 8:30pm and take flight at 9:00pm! The parade should return to Colony Square by about 9:45pm (it’s a 1.2 mile loop), and the band will play until 10am!
The parade is FREE to join! But help them get an idea of who’s coming by registering here!What to bring and wear to the Parliament of Owls Lantern Parade
Wear black and white and bring your owl lantern! (You must have an owl lantern to march in the parade!)
You can learn more and get your own FREE printable owl mask and lantern guide here! But you’re also welcome to invent your very own owl lanterns and masks!
You can also check out a lantern worksop on July 18th from 6-8pm at Museum of Design Atlanta or a drop-in Owl Lantern workshop in Colony Square on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1 from 6:30-8:30pm. Grab your tickets for the workshops and learn more here!
