The Painted Pickle, an entertaining eatery with full pickleball courts is set to open in Atlanta in December, and we’re stoked!
Wait… What is pickleball?
You might be a huge fan of pickleball, but if you’ve never heard of it, don’t worry, we’ll catch you up to speed! Pickleball is sort of like racquetball. It combines tennis, table tennis and badminton into a court-style game like tennis. You can play one-on-one or in doubles; think of it like tennis’ little leisurely sibling.
The game has already gained a ton of popularity across the United States, especially in Atlanta, with new courts opening up left and right. While the name might make it sound like a fad game, it’s here to stay!
Painted Pickle
Justin Amick and William Stallworth are excited to open up a brand new pickleball recreational restaurant, much like their previous ventures, Painted Pin, an awesome eatery and bowling alley, and the Painted Duck, another bowling alley and gaming parlor!
Much like Painted Pin and the Painted Duck, Painted Pickle will be much more than just a court to play pickleball on… Amick and Stallworth are opening up a whole new experience! They say guests should expect fried pickles, charcuterie boards, bowls and salads, and panini, along with classic cocktails, local beer on draft, and wines by the glass and bottle. They’ve even been in talks of opening up a sushi bar on site.
Amick says to call Painted Pickle a “‘compeatery’ [which] is a place to compete, eat, drink and be social.”
Painted Pickle is set to open up to the public in December at Armour Yards, where it will be among good company with SweetWater Brewing Co., Capella Cheese, East Pole Coffee, and Fox Bros Que-Osk.
So get excited, Atlanta, for a brand new way to play pickleball!
