The mix-use, community hub of Ponce City Market (PCM) is set to grow bigger and better than ever with an office building, “hospitality living” residency with 400 units and 13,000 square feet of retail space, as well as 38,000 square feet of dining and shopping and a spacious outdoor courtyard.
“With this next chapter, we’re looking forward to adding more space for the community to work, eat, shop, and enjoy Ponce City Market,” said Matt Bronfman, CEO of PCM’s developer, Jamestown, in a release. “These plans keep sustainability top-of-mind with ample outdoor space, new technologies, green materials, and design that draws on the beauty of nature while honoring the history of Ponce City Market.”
PCM’s residential tower will feature “hospitality living” – a first-of-its-kind concept that caters to modern work/lifestyles. Short-term as well as long-term leases will be available for “accessible” prices. In addition to the mass of retail space, the tower will include a rooftop pool and terrace, “hotel-like” services and other amenities.
The 100,000-square-foot office building will give tenants the opportunity to customize their floor-plans with private outdoor balcony options. The ground floor, filled with 25,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space, will connect directly to the residential tower through the new courtyard.
Jamestown also intends for the development to be sustainable, with a plan to achieve zero net operational carbon by 2050.
The company has yet to release a timeframe on the completion of its planned expansion.
