Atlanta’s favorite neighborhood pie festival, Porches and Pies, is coming back to the ATL this fall, and you can’t miss out on all the fun. Keep scrolling to learn all about what you can expect at this year’s Porches and Pies Festival!
What is Porches and Pies?

The Porches and Pies Festival is Atlanta’s annual celebration of community, fun, and of course… pie!
The festival is free and open to the public, and it’s a great spot to connect with your community, taste delicious pies, and participate in fun & wacky pie-themed experiences. You can also participate in the annual pie bake-off, if you’re feeling competitive!
And the best part? All proceeds from Porches and Pies benefit Adair Park Today, supporting neighborhood initiatives, public spaces, and programs that strengthen the Adair Park community.
What can festival goers expect at the Porches and Pies Festival?

Other than a SUPER sweet (and savory!) time, there are so many fun happenings at Atlanta’s annual Porches and Pies Festival.
Here are some of the highlights you can expect:
- live entertainment
- family-friendly activities
- locally crafted beverage
- food and drink vendors
- children’s activities
- dozens of bakers competing for top honors in the bake off

And of course… PIES on pies on pies!
Can I compete in the pie bake-off?

Yes! You don’t have to be a professional baker to enter into the pie bake-off!
There are two pie bake-off categories: one for professional bakers and one for home/youth bakers! The registration deadline for bake-off competitions is September 12th! You can apply here!
And this year, they’ve got some pretty awesome judges! The Porches and Pies Festival said in a statement,
Pies entered in the bake-off will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of culinary and media personalities, including Claudia Martinez, award-winning pastry chef and co-owner of Bar Ana and a three-time James Beard Award finalist; AJ DeDiego, Atlanta pastry chef, baking educator, and Food Network competitor known for his popular recipe videos and cake decorating classes; Kimmie Camps, a Trinidad-born culinary entrepreneur with more than 20 years of fine dining experience blending Caribbean flavors with refined technique; and Skye Estroff, food journalist, television host, podcast creator, and one of Atlanta’s leading voices in food and dining.
Okay, I’ve GOTTA check this out! Gimme the details!
