Street Art and Atlanta go hand in hand, and artists across the city have been hard at work making sure that the ATL is as vibrant as possible this Pride Month. Check out this list of stunning murals that are painting Atlanta every color of the rainbow.

1. ARRRTADDICT
Where: Little Five Points
Atlantan artist ARRRTADDICT recently collaborated with Skittles to create this incredible mural in Little Five Points. The mural represents how the artist perceives the rainbow and celebrates Pride. ARRTADDICT told Secret Atlanta, “Pride for me is about celebrating the struggles we have suffered and continue to get by making the changes our community needs.”

2. Maite Nazario
Where: Little Five Points
This awesome mural box was painted by Maite Nazario towards the end of 2020. Make sure you head to Little Five Points to check it out. Nazario shared on their Instagram, “The fist represents unity amongst Black, Brown, Trans, and Queer community to hold each other up during these uncertain times.”
3. Rainbow Crosswalks
Where: Midtown
Murals and street art provide a great background for a picture, and a great way to promote artists, while expressing your own individuality, political stance, or whatever the art represents. Vivid rainbow stripes are painted across this intersection of Atlanta’s Piedmont Avenue (pictured above with dancer Keith Reeves). The crosswalks were installed in 2017 by the mayor, marking the one year anniversary of the Pulse shootings in Orlando.

Where: Cabbagetown
Evereman is a street artist that’s known for spreading love and positivity. Evereman is also the name of their long running street art project. The idea is to make a positive impact on the urban landscape engaging the public to interact, all with a “leave no trace” message. This mural however is part of the Forward Warrior project, where Atlanta’s best muralists build a street level community in Cabbagetown.
4. Ricky Watts
Where: Krog Street Tunnel
Although originally set to be a tribute to the color spectrum, the artist of this stunning mural Ricky Watts is delighted that his addition to the OuterSpace Project has become a symbol of LGBTQI+ Pride. The OuterSpace Project is an event series that merges public art, live music, design, action sports and culture, and is an outdoor mural project at its core.
