If you’ve lived in Atlanta for any amount of time, then you know what the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is. As a major newspaper, the AJC publishes everything from hard-hitting news to sports and beyond. And now, they’re going completely digital. Keep scrolling for all the details on this big change for Atlanta’s news scene.
Why is the AJC going fully digital?
Andrew Morse, the President and Publisher of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said on LinkedIn earlier,
This isn’t just a format change. It’s a transformation rooted in purpose. We’re investing in world-class journalism, expanding our digital products, and deepening our connection with the communities we serve. Our mission remains unchanged: to deliver essential, factual reporting that informs, inspires, and reflects the vibrant Substance and Soul of the South.
In other words, the AJC is keeping up with the times by going fully digital. And on top of finding the best way to serve Atlantans, the AJC believes this will be best for the environment as well, by saving water, trees, and waste to landfills.

Will I still be able to read the Atlanta Journal-Constitution?
The AJC notes that if you already enjoy their ePaper, you don’t have to worry about changes.
They say,
For those of you who enjoy the experience of reading our daily report in an ePaper format, you’ll be able to access it through the AJC mobile app and AJC.com, and we’ll continue to email that familiar layout to your inbox each morning.
When will the AJC print its last newspaper?
The last AJC print paper will come out on December 31st, 2025. From 2026 on, the paper will be fully digital! This is definitely the end of an era for Atlanta, ending a 157 years of print.
