Head to Red’s Beer Garden tomorrow to directly help those affected by Hurricane Ida
A month has passed since Hurricane Ida terrorized parts of Louisiana. There’s still so much we can do to help those who have been affected by this devastating tragedy. Here in Atlanta, a beloved podcaster on all things beer, as teamed up with Red’s Beer Garden to help of victims of the hurricane.
Caroline King lives in Atlanta, but is a New Orleans native and Hurricane Katrina survivor. She wrote on Instagram, “THIS THURSDAY I have partnered with Red’s Beer Garden to do a fundraiser for Lagniappe Krewe that will raise money for service industry workers affected by Hurricane Ida.”
She added, “There are so many restaurants in Louisiana and the gulf coast that still do not even have power and these workers, that were just devastated by the pandemic, are facing even more hardships!”
The Category 4 hurricane left thousands and thousands of people without power for weeks. It has even closed hundreds of businesses and restaurants. Which is why the fundraiser will be benefiting coastal Louisiana’s hospitality and restaurant industry workers.
Ten percent of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to the non-profit organization Lagniappe Krewe Emergency Relief Fund. They provide relief to hospitality workers and their families in financial crisis during emergency situations.
There will be tasty grub inspired by New Orleans, jazz music, an unbeatable selection of beers, and a exciting raffle! You could even be the winner of a $100 gift card to Red’s Beer Garden!
You can find Red Beer Garden at 1328 Boulevard SE, 30315. The fundraiser will be happening on September 30, from 6-10pm.
