Shoot the ‘hooch at this incredibly relaxing river tubing experience in Helen. Grab a tube and let the Chattahoochee drift you through all the natural beauty on offer around this gorgeous part of Georgia. However, it doesn’t have to be all R&R, as this awesome experience is just a small part of the beloved adventure park, Cool River Adventures.
As well as the Cool River Tubing, visitors can enjoy ziplining, adventure courses, and more! But the river tubing seems to be the main reason why Georgians and out-of-towners flock to this adventure park every summer.
With two river tubing options available, flow down the Chattahoochee River for two hours, or only one if you’d prefer something shorter. There’s also tubes with or without bottoms, making it easy for everyone have a comfortable and fun experience. Also, dogs are welcome to come along for the ride, so the whole family can take part!
Prices vary depending on what experiences you wish to partake in. For the Cool River Tubing, it costs $14 Monday through Friday, and $18 on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. Admission comes with your tube, a life-jacket, a shuttle service, tie straps, and their key-saver service. In other news a little closer to home, The City of Atlanta recently announced that the Chattahoochee’s first public park is in the works. Officially acquired on March 4, the new park is being referred to as Lower Paul Park. It will consists of 17 greenspace properties within the Northwest Atlanta Riverside neighborhood, and will facilitate future access to the Chattahoochee River. Click here for more information.
