There’s an adorable new reptile at Zoo Atlanta, and you’ve gotta go meet him! Zoo Atlanta’s newest resident, Seng, is a super endangered Siamese crocodile. Keep scrolling to learn all about what this addition to the zoo means, and more about Seng!
What is a Siamese crocodile?

Seng is a young Siamese crocodile, one of the most endangered crocodiles on the planet. Native to Southeast Asia, Siamese crocodiles are a freshwater crocodile species averaging six to nine feet as adults, with some males growing larger.
Gina Ferrie, PhD, Vice President of Collections and Conservation, said in a statement,
Siamese crocodiles are among the most endangered crocodilians in the world, with a conservation message that extends far beyond the borders of this species’ native range. We hope that as our Members and guests get to know Seng, they will learn more and help us tell the story of the need to protect wetland environments and to keep these wild habitats healthy for the countless species, including humans, that rely on them.
Siamese crocodiles are classified as Critically Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), making them among Earth’s rarest crocodiles. And now you can see one, right here in the ATL.
Where can I meet Seng?
