There’s no shortage of holiday festivities to enjoy in Atlanta this Christmas season. Whether its sauntering through enchanting lighting displays, dining in a personal igloo, or taking a shot or two of Christmas spirit, Atlanta has you covered for the holidays. If you’re looking to escape the city lights for a moment, take your friends and family to Lanier Islands’ License to Chill Snow Island for full-on winter fun!
“Be transported to a wintry vacation state of mind on the Parrot Mountain slide, one of the longest and steepest snow tube hills in North America measuring 575 feet long and 8-stories high,” Lainier Islands writes on their event page. “Snow tubing, ice skating, a snow play area for snowball fights and snow angels, fire pits and s’mores, and carnival rides transform Margaritaville’s lakefront paradise into a winter wonderland that’s “SNOW MUCH FUN” for all ages.”
In addition to the aforementioned activities, Snow Island also offers spectacular lighting displays, Santa’s Workshop, and plenty of seasonal eats and drinks to keep you warm throughout your stay.
You can access Licence to Chill for free, with all the festive attractions ticketed once you arrive. Each ride requires a certain amount of tickets and you can purchase a sheet of 20 tickets for $44.99. You can also purchase all-inclusive tickets and daily tickets.
