In a statement on Tuesday, October 15th, the NFL officially announced that Atlanta will host Super Bowl LXII in 2028! This incredible honor will be the fourth time the city has hosted the Super Bowl, with the most recent time being in 2019.
The Big Game will be held at Mercedes Benz Stadium in February of 2028! So get ready for all the excitement and hustle and bustle!
Why choose Atlanta?
In the statement, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said,
Renowned for its hospitality and rich sports and entertainment culture, Atlanta is a world-class event destination and a natural fit for Super Bowl 62… Arthur Blank [Atlanta Falcons Owner and Chairman] has been a transformative figure in the Atlanta community, playing a crucial role in leading the bid to bring the Super Bowl back to the city. I have been fortunate to witness firsthand how Arthur continues to drive community engagement and economic development in the Atlanta community through his unwavering commitment to sports and philanthropy. We look forward to working with him, the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Sports Council and all of our partners on the ground to create an unforgettable experience for fans around the world in 2028.
With a love of sports, plenty of activities and events for tourists, an incredible culture, and of course, the beautiful Mercedes Benz Stadium, Atlanta will be a wonderful host for the Super Bowl, yet again. And this comes just after the news that Mercedes Benz will house the brand-new 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which was announced earlier this year.
Atlanta Falcons Owner and Chairman Arthur M. Blank. says,

Mercedes-Benz Stadium was built to host the world’s largest sporting events, and I know I speak for many when I say we are honored to bring it back to Atlanta in 2028 and build off the success of Super Bowl LIII in 2019.
